A Legacy of Knowledge Rooted in Heritage Dankaur, historically known as Dronakaul, derives its name from the revered Guru Shri Dronacharya Ji and has held deep cultural and historical significance for over 150 years. The evolution of Dronakaul to Dankaur reflects a heritage proudly preserved through the Shree Dronacharya Gaushala Samiti, which manages the Shree Dronacharya Mandir. The temple houses a remarkable statue of Guru Shree Dronacharya Ji, believed to have been crafted by his legendary disciple, Eklavya.
Inspired by this spiritual and cultural legacy, Shree Dronacharya (P.G.) College, Dankaur was established on 16th February 1997. Since its inception, the college has been committed to academic excellence and has played a pivotal role in advancing higher education in the region—consistently bringing pride to the local community. Currently, the college offers postgraduate programs in three subjects and undergraduate courses in 18 subjects across six faculties. Affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur, AICTE, New Delhi, the institution also offers a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program, which has been awarded a ‘B’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Shree Dronacharya (P.G.) College continues to uphold the values of its namesake by fostering an environment of learning, integrity, and community service.
